In financial matters, the King of Pentacles is the last word in the Earth suit: you have it, and you are at peace with it.

Look at the card. A king sits in his garden, holding a scepter and a single coin. One. Not ten. He who has enough does not need to show off.

He is the only figure in this suit who is no longer afraid. The Ace hopes, the Four clutches, the Five shivers, the Seven doubts, the Eight toils. He is beyond all of them – and he is not calm because he has a lot. He is calm because he has been through having nothing, and he survived.

This is the source of peace, and no one can buy it: you know that if it were taken away tomorrow, you would still know how to rebuild it.

Look at the grape cluster on his robe. Why grapes, and not gold? Because grapes are the only thing that cannot be rushed: it takes four years for them to bear fruit, and good wine ages for years. This man was not smarter than others. He was more patient.

The shadow: materialism, when only the number matters, and you measure every person by how much they are worth. And control: you hold onto everything because you trust no one.

Today, be generous. Not immoderate – generous. This is the difference between a rich person and a wealthy person.

You are no longer afraid. You just haven't realized it yet.
