Περιγραφή

In financial matters, the Five of Pentacles is the most honest card in the deck. It doesn't sugarcoat it: things are tight right now.

But there are two very important things for you to see on it.

The first: look at what they are doing. They are moving. They are not sitting in the snow. This card is a card of transition, not of stagnation. This snow will melt. This is not your life – it's a winter within it. You didn't earn it, it's not fair, and it's not your fault. But it will pass.

The second: look at what is above their heads. A lit window. Inside it's warm, there's a place inside, they would help inside.

And neither of them looks up. Not because they don't know it's there. It's because they are ashamed.

This card in financial matters is almost always about this. Not that there is no help. It's about you not asking. You don't call the bank, you don't ask for installment payments, you don't tell your family where you stand. You cancel meetings by saying you don't feel like it – when in fact, you don't have the money for it.

Shame keeps you out. Not the world.

And notice: this is the only card in the Earth suit where there is nothing in hand. That's why it shows the most important thing: what remains when what you thought you were is lost. You are not your bank account.

The window is not a bank. It's a church. What you are lacking now is not just money – it's belonging somewhere, a person who says: come in.

Look up. And ask – just once, from one person.

Look up. There's the window.

I won't sugarcoat it, because this card doesn't sugarcoat it either: things are tight right now. And you're tired of everyone telling you to think positively.

Look at the card. It's snowing. Two people are walking down the street, one on crutches, the other barefoot. They are cold. And directly above their heads, there's a lit window: it's warm inside, there's room inside, they would help inside.

Neither of them looks up. Not because they don't know it's there. It's because they are ashamed.

And honestly: you haven't told anyone either. You declined an invitation by saying you weren't in the mood – when the truth was, you couldn't afford it. You didn't call them to ask for an installment plan. You haven't told your family where you are. You'd rather freeze than knock on the door.

Shame keeps you out. Not the world.

There are two things I want you to hear. The first: this is temporary. Look closely at the picture – they aren't sitting in the snow. They are walking. This isn't your life, just a winter within it. The snow will melt.

The second: two people are walking. You are not alone, even if you feel that way now. This is when you find out who stays by your side – and not the one who solves things, but the one who walks beside you.

Today, they ask one thing of you, and it will be harder than you think. Ask. From one person, for one specific thing. Or call that number you've been avoiding for weeks. It turns out, it's possible to talk about it.

For those who love you, it's not a burden that you ask. The burden for them is that you didn't speak up.
