SIX OF CUPS – love

The Six of Cups in love is one of the tenderest cards – and one of the most cunning.

First, its beautiful side. This card represents pure, selfless love. When someone gives without keeping score. When there are no games, no strategies, no "who should text first." Just a cup full of flowers, held out in an outstretched hand.

It often signifies a reunion: someone from the past returning. An old acquaintance, a first love, a person you haven't thought about in years, and now they suddenly reappear.

If you are in a relationship, the card brings up shared memories. That phase when everything was new. And it whispers an important thing: the person you fell in love with is still there. It's just that ten years of fatigue have accumulated.

But now comes the harder part. This card also represents being stuck in the past. The idealized ex – the one who becomes more perfect with each passing year in memory, because memory cuts out the bad parts. Next to whom every real person is a disappointment.

If you are waiting for someone to return after years, ask yourself: are you waiting for them, or for the person you remember them to be? Because those two are rarely the same person.
