KNIGHT OF PENTACLES – armastus

In love, the Knight of Pentacles is the person who is there.
Not the one who is overwhelming. Not the one who makes your heart skip a beat. The one who comes to pick you up at the station at 2:30 AM and never mentions it again.
Look at the card. There are four knights in the deck, three are galloping – this one is still. The horse is a heavy draft horse, not a racehorse, all four of its feet are on the ground. This card tells you this about love: none of the three galloping knights reach their destination. This one gets there. Two years later than anyone thought, but it gets there.
If you are single: there is someone near you whom you haven't taken seriously because they are not exciting. Because they are calm. Because there's no drama, and you're used to love being something that tears you apart. Look again.
If you are in a relationship: this card is the card of loyalty. What you have built stands, and they will be there tomorrow too. But there is a shadow to it, and pay close attention to it.
Reliability has a quiet price: you are never asked if you want to. Everyone knows you'll be there – so they don't even think about you anymore. If you are the one in the family who can always be counted on, then it’s highly likely no one has asked you what you want in a long time.
Conversely: the horse that stands still and doesn't even set off anymore. The same week, the same cycle. Change direction once – no more, just once.
Sõnum
You are there. You are always there.
You notice that the bread is gone. You remember everyone's birthdays. You are the one who picks them up from the station at two-thirty in the morning, and never brings it up again.
Look at the card. There are four knights in this deck, and three of them are galloping: in fire, in storm, with momentum. And this one is standing still. A heavy draft horse, all four hooves on the ground.
This is the most boring card in the deck – and now I'll tell you why it's the greatest compliment.
None of the three galloping knights reach their destination. They burn out, run into something, stop halfway. The Knight of Pentacles gets there. Always. This is you in love, and all your life this quality of yours has been set up as if you were boring.
You are not boring. You endure. That's entirely different.
But now I want to say something, because no one says this to you.
Reliability has a very quiet price: you are never asked if you want to. Everyone knows you'll be there – and so they don't even think of you anymore. When was the last time anyone asked you what you wanted?
They are not ungrateful. They just got used to it. That's the difference.
Today, two things are asked of you. The first: say what you want. Once, specifically. Don't expect them to guess – they won't, because you never ask.
The second: do something this week that makes no sense. No benefit, no progress. Go somewhere for no reason.
Even the horse deserves a day to graze.
