Description

The Queen of Cups in love brings deep, accepting love.

This is the kind of presence with which someone dares to put on and take off their armor. One who does not fix, does not judge, does not solve – just is there. This is the rarest thing in a relationship, and the most healing.

If you are in a relationship, this card brings emotional security. The phase when you can be vulnerable in front of the other, and no harm will come of it.

If you are single, this card can refer to a deeply sensitive person – or that you are that person.

But now comes the harder part, and if this is your card, this will likely be painfully familiar.

The queen holds a closed cup. She sees everyone's feelings – but shows none of her own to anyone. In relationships, this is the person who always pays attention, always notices, always knows when there's trouble. With whom the other finds peace. And no one ever asks how they are – because they seem so strong.

This card therefore poses its most important question like this: who do you tell?

And there's another shadow to it. This queen tunes into her partner so much that after a while, she no longer knows what she herself wants. The boundaries blur. "Whatever makes you happy" – and ten years later, it turns out that a person has disappeared in the process.

Message

The angels tell you: you can also receive.

If you find yourself always being the strong one – you listen, you notice, you smooth things over – then this card is for you.

Say how you are. Don't just ask. A closed chalice is not strength. It's just a habit.

Don't read minds. Your sensitivity is a great gift, but it has a trap: you start to assume you know what the other person feels. Sometimes you really do know. Sometimes you just hear your own fear reflected back. Ask about it.

Draw a boundary. Compassion does not mean taking on someone else's bad day. That's not love – that's just two bad days. It's okay to say: "I see that it's difficult, and I'm here, but I'm still doing well."

Say what you want. Not, "it doesn't matter, whatever is good for you." You also have an opinion. A relationship where one party never asks for anything is not harmonious. It's just one-sided.

Replenish yourself. It's not selfishness. You can't draw from an empty well – and the most loving people burn out exactly this way.

If the card comes up reversed for you: if you are exhausted; if your boundaries have blurred; if you no longer know what you feel – stop. Ask yourself: what do I want? If it's hard to answer, that in itself is the answer.
