Descrizione

In love, THE DEVIL card is the most accurate: it's not about a bad person, but about the pattern you're stuck in.

Look closely at the card, where a goat-headed, bat-winged figure crouches on a black stone block, and two naked people, a man and a woman, are chained to the stone block.

Now look at them again, and also look at The Lovers card: it's the same man and the same woman, just as naked, in the same posture. There, an angel hovered above them. Here, a goat-headed figure crouches.

They haven't changed. What has changed is what they are looking at — and this is the card's harshest truth about love: the same passion can be a wing and can be a chain, depending on what is above it.

And now observe the most important thing: the chain around their necks is loose. Ample. They could easily lift their heads out of it. They don't — and not because the chain is strong, but because they aren't looking there.

If you now feel that this relationship is holding you captive, then the question is not how to escape. It's when you last looked at it clearly.

This card doesn't necessarily tell you to leave. Often, it tells you that what you are captive in is not the other person, but a scene you've been playing out the same way for eleven years.

And look at the torch, because he's holding it downwards, and he's lighting the man's tail with it: he who seduces you does not illuminate you. He sets you on fire. If you are constantly burning next to someone, but never getting warm, then you know which card you are at.

And also notice that there isn't one chain, but two: around both their necks. In this pattern, there is no victim and no culprit — both of you are holding it, and both of you are wearing loose chains.

So, don't chastise yourself or him: this card does not accuse. It only asks one thing — look there, and say aloud what it is. What you name loses half of its power.

In reverse, this card is the best news: liberation — the moment someone looks up and realizes the chain is loose.

Messaggio

It wasn't him who changed. What changed was what you were looking at.

Look closely at the card, where a deer-headed, goat-headed, bat-winged figure crouches on a black stone block, holding a torch upside down in his left hand — and two naked people, a man and a woman, are chained to the stone block.

Now look at them again, and remember The Lovers card: it's the same man and the same woman, just as naked, in the same posture. There, an angel hovered above them. Here, a goat-headed figure crouches.

This is your message tonight, because the same love, the same passion can be wings and can be chains — depending on what is above it. The devil does not come from outside: he only moves into where you no longer look up.

And now observe the most important thing: the chain around their necks is loose. Ample. They could easily lift their heads out of it. They don't — and not because the chain is strong, but because they don't look there.

If you feel now that this relationship is holding you captive, then today's question is not how to break free. It's when you last looked at it clearly.

Notice also that there isn't one chain, but two: around both your necks. In this pattern, there is no victim and no culprit — you both hold it. What holds you captive is often not the other person, but a scene you've been playing out the same way for years, with the same lines.

And look at the torch, because he turns it downwards, and with it he ignites the man's penis. The Hermit held a lamp, forward and outward, into the darkness: he did not light it for himself. This figure does not illuminate — he ignites.

If you are constantly burning next to someone, but never getting warm, then you know which card you are at.

And notice what he is sitting on: a black stone block, which is only half a cube — the other half is not there. This is the sign of half-truth, because what the Devil whispers is never a lie. Only half of it. "This is how we love each other." True. "It's like this for everyone." True. What is missing is the other half of the cube.

Today, do not chastise yourself or him: this card does not accuse. Just look there, and say aloud what it is — what you name loses half its power.

In reverse, this card is the best news in the deck: liberation. The moment when someone looks up, sees the chain, and realizes it's loose.
