But obscurity doesn't protect you. It only postpones the day when you still have to face it – and by then, it will be bigger.

The two swords here often represent two possibilities: to invest or to save. To change or to stay. To dive in or to wait. Both have arguments of equal weight, which is why nothing moves. And meanwhile, not deciding also has a price: every month you spend waiting, something is quietly decided for you.

Sometimes this card indicates a financial conversation that you're jointly putting off. You both know you should talk about it, and you both act as if it's not urgent.

If you are facing a decision: don't gather more arguments, because they will cancel each other out. Bring out the reality. Write down on one side: how much comes in, how much goes out, what you're risking. What you dare to write down, you already see – and what you see, you can already decide.

The angels tell you: open the envelope. Look at the numbers. I know you don't want to – that's why you've been putting it off for weeks.

But the anxiety you feel now is not because the situation is bad. It's because you don't know what the situation is. Obscurity doesn't protect you, it only postpones the day when you still have to face it. And by then, it will be bigger.

Sit down with one page. How much comes in, how much goes out, what you risk. That's all. And watch what happens: as soon as you speak the truth, half of the fear dissipates. What remains is no longer a nightmare, but a task – and you can do something with that.

If you are wavering between two possibilities – to invest or save, to change or stay – don't gather more arguments. Your head has already calculated both a thousand times, and that's exactly why there's a stalemate. Two arguments of equal weight will never overcome each other.

Instead, quiet down and ask yourself: which one do I fear – and which one makes me constrict? The first requires courage. The second is a warning. They are not the same thing.

And don't forget: procrastination is also a decision. Only you don't make it, time makes it for you – and time doesn't consider you when it decides.

If the card comes up reversed: that's good news. The situation clears up, the number is spoken, the decision is made. It might not be pleasant to see. But from that moment on, you are not fighting the fog, but reality – and reality is much more manageable.
